Fines Removal Paper & Pulp Plant

Divers removed fines from a clarifier tank by pumping them out with a 6" hydraulic pump and series of hoses. The goal was to remove as many fines as possible to create more water volume for continued processing.

The BOD and COD were significantly reduced along with the TSS which prevented the mill from closing due to tight effluent restrictions on a small discharge stream during the droughts of 1997, 1998, 2010 and 2011.
